Classmates on Court in SAPSASA Netball Tournament

Written on the 13 May 2015

Six talented Scotch College students will be sharing a court at this month's state netball carnival.

Year 7 students Lucy Doney, Lucy Knight, Teja Ranger, Holly Hyde, Georgina Taeger and Millie Fidge (not pictured) have all been selected in the Southern Heights squad to compete in the SAPSASA competition.

The squad represents more than 10 schools in the area.

Lucy Doney, from Colonel Light Gardens, says the girls are really excited about being netball teammates.

"It was really good to be selected, we all hang out normally and are friends," Lucy, 12, says. "We play on the same team at school, too."

Holly and Teja have played SAPSASA netball before, but for the other three girls it will be their first time.

The students were chosen from a squad of 20, which had been whittled down from a pool of about 100 students. The State Carnival will be held at Netball SA Stadium from May 25 to 29.
