Dramatic career for Laurence

Written on the 9 May 2013

A dramatic career beckons for Drama Co-captain and Year 12 student Laurence Boxhall who has recently been cast in a major television series being co-produced by the Australian Children's Television Foundation and Reflective Pictures. "The Worst Year Of My Life, Again" is a 13 part series is being shot over 14 weeks that follows the life of a teenage boy as he wakes up on his birthday to discover that somehow time has reset itself, and he must relive every miserable moment of the past 12 months once more.

Laurence, who plays the best friend of the lead character, is no stranger to the theatrical world having performed in a number of independant theatre productions as well as honing his skills in many of our school plays and musicals. Highlights would have to include his acclaimed performance as 'Monsieur Thenardier' in the College's 2012 production of 'Les Miserables'. Taking time off from his studies was obviously a big decision but there is no doubt that Laurence's latest project is a major step towards what will likely be a successful career in the entertainment industry.
