Scotch Presents... Is University still a wise investment?

Scotch College invites students, the community and the public to meet the Vice Chancellors of the Universities of Flinders, Adelaide and Torrens.

Hear directly from Professor Mike Brooks (Adelaide University), Professor Colin Stirling (Flinders University) and Professor Justin Beilby (Torrens University) about the achievements, potential and challenges of the university sector.

Some of the questions put to the Vice Chancellors include, do we have the right approach to higher education? How can we widen access in South Australia? Are universities the preserve only of the rich? What wider benefits should a university education bring to the individual and the country? Is it worth the enormous debt? Can they be better at caring for their students? Do too many drop out? How is online university teaching changing the university experience? Are universities still a place for free speech and genuine debate?
