Film
Film making students at Scotch are encouraged to participate in a a wide range of film and multi-media activities. Courses are strongly focused on developing skills in visual composition, lighting, sound as well as the creative process of film making.
Students learn about camera operation, live video mixing, video editing and DVD production.
Whilse students do much of the their film making and video editing on their own laptops, the college has comprehensive media technology facilties which are shared with the Music department.
The "Sound House" has a number of iMac computers with Final Cut Studio, Logic and Cubase software, a dedicated sound recording studio with a 48 channel sound mixer along with numerous other work stations equipped for students to record digital media onto their laptops.
