Strengthen the Future Scotch College has a long and proud tradition of philanthrophic support. The College was established in 1919 with the financial backing of the Scottish community in Adelaide.
How you can help While fees cover a major portion of a student's education at Scotch College, there is a significant shortfall between income from fees and the funds we need to undertake capital projects which are vital for the College's future wellbeing.
To do this we ask our community to support us where possible with donations. This will ensure that Scotch College has the financial capacity to continue to provide its students with the unique opportunity to achieve their full academic, spiritual, cultural and social potential. Your contribution, large or small is vital for our continuing progress.
There are a number of ways you can help
|
Annual Giving
|
Each year, Scotch asks everyone in its community - parents, Old Collegians, past parents, grandparents, staff and friends of the College - for a gift to the College. This gift is tax deductible if made to the Building or Library fund. The Education fund provides for scholarships and speech day prizes and is not tax deductible. Annual Giving funds are generally sought for a particular building project identified by the College and range from $10 to $2000.

Major Gifts
|
Major gifts are sought, usually through a capital campaign, to raise funds for projects identified by the College as vital to sustain excellence. Gifts are usually pledged over a number of years and range from $1000 to $500,000 or more. Major gifts to the building fund are tax deductible.

Gifts of Service
|
Scotch College parents, grandparents, Old Collegians, and other members of the Scotch community contribute to the College in countless ways as dedicated volunteers. You may become involved in committees and fundraising events at the College with funds going towards the Building Fund.
You may also offer advice to the College in a professional capacity or donate in-kind contributions of services and goods.

Bequests
|
Leaving a bequest in your will to the College is a way of securing an endowment fund for future students. It is an opportunity to provide a Scotch education for students who otherwise could not afford it. However, donations to the education endowment are not tax deductible.
Bequests can be in the form of property, real estate, shares, jewellery, art, antiques or cash. The bequest may be a specific sum of money, or a percentage of the estate.

Memorials & Named Gifts

|
The College welcomes donations for memorials and named gifts. These gifts are used to name a Speech Day prize, scholarship, building or part of a building.
