The College is keen to foster friendraising amongst our broad and diverse community. To this end a number of community events are held throughout the year in Australia and overseas.
Community Dinners Community Dinners are held throughout the year from Blinman to London. They are open to any member of the Scotch community to attend and dates/locations are published in Scotch Reports and on the Development page of the website. If you would like to host a Community Dinner in your location please contact the Community Events Coordinator on (08) 8274 4314.
New Parents Dinner The New Parents Dinner is held every year in Term 2, usually around the second or third week of June. All new parents to the College in the previous 12 months are invited to attend. This event is just one of the welcoming functions held to enable new parents to meet members of the Scotch Community.
Grandparents Day Grandparents are an important and valued component of the Scotch community. Every year we give interested grandparents the opportunity to meet with their grandchildren in the classroom, to enjoy a morning tea and a short musical performance. Grandparents Day is held every year in the Junior School in Term 1 and in the Middle School in Term 3.
Field Days Scotch College staff attend a number of Field Days around Australia each year, including Lucindale, the Riverland, Eyre and Yorke Peninsulas, as well as Alice Springs and Darwin. These are wonderful opportunities to say hello to our regional and rural Scotch community. Dates and locations are published in Scotch Reports and on the News & Events page of the website. Please feel free to drop by and say hello.
