HockeyJames Clarke (Year 5) was selected in the South Australian under 12s team for the National Archery Championships in Perth next year.

John Vrodos (Year 7) was selected in the Southern Heights SAPSASA football team. The team played others from across the state in a week-long carnival and ended up joint winners.

Ellie Sobels (Year 7) and Melody Moldenhauer (Year 7) competed in the State Hockey Carnival. The team had a very successful tournament, going through undefeated and winning the gold medal. Ellie has also been selected to play Hockey for South Australia later in the year.

Thanasi Kokkinakis (Year 5) has been selected in the SAPSASA Tennis team to play in the School Sport Australia Tennis Event in Mackay, Queensland. He finished the tournament undefeated.

Michael Bosten (Year 7) and Liam McAuliffe (Year 7) recently competed in the South Australian Districts in the SAPSASA Athletics State Day both gaining 4th placings - Michael in the 11 Year Old Boys Shot Put and Liam in the 11 Year Old Boys Discus.

Chris Harper (Year 7) competed in the SAPSASA State Tennis Carnival with his team Southern Heights 1 - playing at Number 1, Chris had a very successful tournament with his team winning the carnival and claiming the State title.

CricketMichael Dzodzos (Year 8) and Nick Lavis (Year 8) competed for Southern Heights and contributed to the victory of this team in the 2nd Division of the SAPSASA Boys' Hockey Championships.

Alex Lovell ('06) and Kristian Radford ('06) competed in their last Under 17 Championships - Alex achieved 39th in the Foil and 16th in the Epee, while Kristian came 7th in the Sabre and 10th in the Epee.

Callum MacPherson (Year 8) was selected to join the South Australian Sports Institute Under 14 Talented Athlete (Basketball) Development Squad.

Jack Young (Year 9) and Mitchell Lloyd (Year 9) played in the National Basketball Club Championships for the Sturt Basketball Club. Their team finished a very creditable 3rd in this competition.

Tara Ridgway (Year 9) recently played for SAUCNA (South Australian Uniting Church Netball Association) in Queensland. Tara's team won the National Championship and she has been selected to play for Australia in May 2007 in New Zealand for CANA (Combined Australian Netball Association).

Tim Pryor (Year 10) for taking the bronze medallion in the recent Powerade Games All Schools Championships, in the 3000m event.

TennisSASI Sports Stars
A number of students from Scotch have been accepted into the South Australian Sports Institute to develop their skills to an elite level in their particular sport. Jack Wellington (Year 11) was chosen for the SASI U16 Basketball Development Squad and Madeleine Hayes ('06) has joined the SASI Volleyball Development Squad. Fergus Kinnaird (Year 10), Tim Pryor (Year 10), and Caitlin Brown (Year 10) have been are involved in the SASI Talent Search Squad for Cycling. James Lea (Year 10) has been selected for the SASI Volleyball program.

Cross CountryGold, Silver and Bronze in Cross Country
56 boys and girls competed for Scotch in the Secondary School Sport Cross Country. There were scores of impressive performances on the day and as a result of the students combined places Scotch earned medals in four events. The 15 and 11 Year Old Boys won the gold, the 16 Year Old Girls won the silver and 15 Year Old Girls won the bronze.
