The first years of school life for our children are certainly some of the most important. A child’s self concept as a learner is formed at this time and so communication and understanding play an essential role in the development of esteem and self confidence. The need for a caring environment that offers stimulating, challenging and enjoyable experiences is paramount.
At Scotch College, we have acknowledged the responsibility we share in creating the most appropriate learning environment for our young children. We take pride in a wide and varied curriculum from Preschool through to Year 6. We believe in providing a range of experiences that encourages experimentation at all levels.
Our campus encompasses twelve attractive hectares of playgrounds, landscaped gardens and modern teaching facilities, some of which are part of historic ‘MitchamVillage’. Old Collegians are often surprised to find that today’s Scotch College Junior School is actually larger than the whole was until the early 50s.
The Junior School at Scotch College begins an outstanding preparation for a confident and successful future.
