Kallawar, the girls boarding house, is a beautiful Federation villa located between the Junior School and Senior College campuses. It has a sporting oval, cricket nets, and a swimming pool in close proximity.
Montrose, the boys boarding house, is located on the Torrens Park campus and enjoys the beautiful grounds and facilities of the Senior College.
All boarding accommodation is in shared rooms for Years 7 -11, with a desk and area for personal space. All Year 12 boarders have single rooms.
Facilities in both houses include modern bathrooms, lounge/game areas for relaxation, and kitchenettes for grazers and late night snackers!
Boarders take all meals in the boarders dining room located in historic Torrens Park House. The recently refurbished dining room looks out over the park-like grounds of the Torrens Park campus. Our chef caters for all meals and the dining room allows boarders to gather together and catch up on the day's events.
Resident students are able to access and enjoy a variety of College facilities during their spare time. These include the McBean Sports Centre and Gymnasium complex, Willsmore computing areas, the Ligertwood Resource Centre, the McPherson Technology Centre, the Torrens Park House Music Suite, the swimming pools, tennis courts, cricket nets, basketball and netball courts, and ovals. In addition, both Kallawar and Montrose each have their own recreational areas and TV rooms.
When school and sporting commitments have been fulfilled, flexible leave provisions and regular exeat weekends enable students to have time away with families and to enjoy day trips or free time with friends.
A number of outings are also arranged for Boarding students throughout the year. These include socials at Scotch and other schools, visits to movies, cultural and sporting events, and day trips to many of Adelaide and South Australia's popular attractions.
