The Year 7 Curriculum
Our Year 7 students are assigned to a Home Group. This is the ‘home base’ for these students and provides them with the security of a special place that is their own and will have either one or two teachers for a substantial part of the day. They will study English, Mathematics (and sometimes Science) and Society and Environment with the Home Group Teacher or Home Group Team Teachers in their own classroom. In all other subjects, Year 7 students move to specialist teachers and specialist areas of study.
All students will have the opportunity to travel to Canberra as part of Civics and Citizenship.

Year 8 Curriculum
In Year 8 students belong to the same group for Mathematics, English and Science. This provides opportunities for students to develop Cross-curricular links between subjects. All students in Year 8 complete a Community & Service Project and are involved in Outdoor Education. All students develop skills and technological competencies by using notebook computers across the learning areas.

All students in Year 9 complete a Focus Project in semester 2 and are involved in Outdoor Education.

A/B indicates a two unit sequence where the study of semester A is a prerequisite for semester B Students may choose Dance as a subject but these classes occur outside of the regular timetable structure and are in addition to the subjects above.
