Science RoomAll parents of prospective students are required to complete an Application for Admission form.

Scotch College will acknowledge receipt of your application and then place your child’s name on the waiting list applicable to the calendar year and level of school entry you are seeking.

A place at Scotch is not assured until it is offered in writing by the Principal. Offers of place will be made on or after 1 March two years preceding entry. Acceptance of such offers will involve a contractual agreement and payment of an Enrolment Fee and Deposit which includes Life Membership of the Scotch College Old Collegians Association.

Finger PaintingIt is the responsibility of Parents/Guardians to provide the College with timely advice of changes to address and telephone numbers. Failure to do so may preclude an applicant from an offer of enrolment.

Interview
Prior to commencement at Scotch College, the Head of Enrolments will arrange an interview for you and your child to meet the appropriate Head of School and to talk about your child’s individual learning needs, talents and interests. This will help us to identify how Scotch can help your child to be the most effective person they can be during their time at school.

ScienceDeferrals
Applicants may elect to defer the point of entry to a later year level. Deferrals need to be notified in writing. Applicants will then be added to the waiting list of the later year level according to the date of their original application. A deferral of a formal offer does not guarantee a place at a later year level, although every reasonable attempt will be made to facilitate this.

Cancellation of an Offer
Cancellation of an offer prior to starting at the College must be made in writing to the Head of Enrolments. A cancellation will result in the applicant forfeiting the enrolment fee and deposit.
