Specialist Music Scholarships

Our specialist music pathways include music theory, composition, improvisation, vocal and instrumental ensembles, music technology and individual mentoring for mastery.

Scholarship holders also benefit from twice yearly goal setting and reflection discussions to ensure their learning needs, musical development and academic progress are being supported.

Selection Criteria

  • Expertise on Instrument/Voice, ability or potential on a second instrument, ability or potential with voice, (expression, accuracy, tone)
  • Evidence of sustained commitment to musical development (significant performances, instrumental examinations, ensemble participation) leadership potential, sustained academic success
  • High standard performance audition and interview

Expectations of Specialist Music Scholarship Holders

  • A high standard of academic achievement and effort across all curricular subjects, especially music
  • Extensive participation and leadership across a range of co-curricular music ensembles and music touring groups
  • The study of music as a curriculum subject through to the completion of at least one Year 12 Music Subject
