The Scotch College Foundation

The Scotch College Foundation was established in 1988 and strives to strengthen the tradition of philanthropy which enabled the establishment of Scotch College Adelaide.

The Foundation's first project was the development of the Multi-Purpose Hall on the Mitcham Campus in the 1990s, and since then, through its Building Fund, the Foundation has helped raise over $7 million towards building projects such as the Webb Science Centre and the Rosevear Boarding Precinct. Through its Education Fund, the Foundation also helps fund a number of student scholarships to Scotch College Adelaide, to enable meritorious and deserving young people to benefit from a Scotch education.

One of the goals of the 2016 Annual Appeal is to seek support from our community, in particular past parents, Old Scholars and our broader support base, to continue to grow the recently established Education Endowment. One of the Foundations key objectives is to assist the College in providing financial support, through philanthropy, for scholarships. As such the Foundation has agreed to ensure that the funds raised through the 2016 Appeal will, in conjunction with the Education Endowment, materially contribute towards a 2016 Foundation Scholarship.

There are different levels of Foundation membership, based on an individual or organisation's cumulative level of giving. Currently, you become a Member of the Foundation when cumulative giving exceeds $5,000, a Fellow when giving exceeds $12,500, a Trustee when giving exceeds $25,000, a Benefactor when giving exceeds $50,000 and a Patron when giving exceeds $100,000.

Designated as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) by the Australian Tax Office, most donations to the Foundation's Building and Education Fund are fully tax deductible.
