Book Week 2017

What a wonderful Book Week we celebrated last week!

We would like to thank everyone for their fantastic efforts in dressing up on Thursday – we were so impressed with the creativity of the costumes this year! We had lots of parents and grandparents come to watch our Dress Up Day parade and we thank you for your support.

The students enjoyed a fun week of celebrating books, characters, authors and illustrators. Many classes had a focus on and shared their favourite books throughout the week, including a reading session with Peer Support buddies, and Mr Pace had a special book display in the Science lab for students to enjoy. Watching the children’s delight as they visited the library each day to discover which land had arrived at the top of our Magic Faraway Tree was an absolute pleasure! Thank you everyone for helping us to ‘escape to everywhere’!

The Premier’s Reading Challenge finishes next Friday (8 September). All Reception-Year 2 students have now completed the Challenge in lessons and many primary students have been submitting their completed forms. Congratulations to those students who have completed the 2017 Challenge!
