Melbourne Netball Tour 2017

Melbourne Netball Tour 2017

In the forever expanding netball program at Scotch, we entered 3 teams in the Waverley International Schools Competition held in Melbourne from 4 - 7 July.

All students represented the College with pride and embraced the international flavour of the tournament. Meeting and hanging out with students from several Australasian countries was a fantastic opportunity for the students. We entered 2 Senior teams and 1 Middle School Development Team.

Scotch Red: Middle School Development team.

Out of 25 schools present, Our Middle School team comprised of year 7s, 8s and 9s ended up runners up for the week. The only game they lost all week was the Grand Final where they were clearly outclassed by Rowville Secondary College (dedicated sporting school in Melbourne)

Scotch Gold: Senior team

Out of the 31 schools present our Senior Gold team had some excellent performances, not losing a game by more than 5 goals. The girls also came from behind in a number of games and should be extremely proud and satisfied with their 7th placing.

Scotch Blue

Our Scotch Blue team came together nicely by the end of the tournament given the combination of players that had not played together. Despite a slow start, they finished the competition strongly and claimed 6th place in second division and 21st overall.

That's a wrap on Term 4 and 2019! Enjoy the summer break and have a happy and safe Christmas! https://t.co/CRKA1RkfyE
