Resilience & Global Awareness

Resilience & Global Awareness

We’ve been here, at Woodstock, for two months now. The amount of both fun and challenging times that we’ve had have developed us into stronger and more independent people. This opportunity isn’t always easy, but it’s not meant to be! Coming here was about stepping outside of our comfort zones and opening our eyes to new experiences.

We’ve already learnt so much about ourselves, others around us, as well as the entire world we live in. Being in India has allowed us to accept and be grateful for the opportunities that we receive in Australia. To be grateful for the little things that we don’t think twice about - fresh food and CLEAN water.

Woodstock’s diverse community has allowed us to learn about different cultures and countries around the globe. From the staff to students, it would be hard to find two people from the same place, the same religion and the same ways of living. It’s only when we’re around others different from ourselves that we truly learn to accept our own cultures.

We’re looking forward to the rest of this experience and making the most of each and every moment!
