Scotch Primary Tennis Teams in SAPSASA Finals

Scotch Primary Tennis Teams in SAPSASA Finals

It has been a busy and successful couple of weeks for our talented Year 7 A1 Tennis cohort.

An impressive representation of 9 Scotch boys and girls were selected to play for Southern Heights in last week’s Division 1 SAPSASA State Carnival. The team, despite one player with with a broken arm, a case of gastro and challenging weather conditions, managed to finish a hard-fought 2nd place.

This week, our strongest Year 7 boys and girls competed for Scotch in the Final of the Knockout SAPSASA Tournament – the culmination of a competition that has run over Terms 1 and 4. This is the first time that Scotch have entered a team. The two teams are to be congratulated on making the knockout final. After an exciting bus ride to the venue, the final was unable to be played due to adverse weather conditions  – the final was declared a draw with both teams finishing equal 1st.

A great finish to their Primary School Tennis! The players involved were Ella Pascoe, Emma Lucas, Lucy Voyvadic, Quimby Yates, Sophie Martens, Jasper Yeend, Nejad Hani, Noah Just, Oliver Durand and Will Lane.

Well done all Involved, both players and coaches.
