Sporting Recap: Term 4 Week 1

Sporting Recap: Term 4 Week 1

Summer sport is off to a flying start this term at Scotch!

Our Senior A and Middle A Girs Basketball teams both recorded convincing victories against Wilderness, with final scores of 67-18 and 54-4 respectively.

Our 27 Tennis teams were all on the court and performed well across the board, punctuated by our Primary B1 Blue team's 6-5 overall win over Concordia.

Our Senior Badminton teams recorded great victories against Glenunga, Immanuel and Pembroke, while both our A and B Softball squads earned victories against Pembroke and Westminster.

In Volleyball, our 5 senior teams managed to win 4 out of 5 contests - a terrific start to the season.

Our Cricketers had a strong start to the season as well, with our Second XI defeating Concordia's First XI in a very close match. Scotch's First XI added to the win totals too, defeating St Michaels in Friday's T20 game, and backing it up on Saturday by beating Pembroke to recapture the Howard Mutton Cup

A special mention goes to Sophie Casey, who amongst other Scotch students, participated in the Schools Athletics Championships this weekend. Sophie won gold in the Long Jump and Triple Jump, and has earned selection to represent South Australia in both events. Congratulations Sophie, and well done to all students involved in sport this weekend.
