Sports Recap: Term 4 Week 3

Sports Recap: Term 4 Week 3

After a nail biting match versus Westminster this weekend, our Drive Tennis squad claimed a great win to secure their division one spot for next season.

With all to play for after some close doubles matches, our players got over the line in their singles matches to win overall, 5-4. After a hugely successful season in 17/18 saw Scotch promoted into Division 1, the squad have had some really tough matches against strong opposition in the top SAAS league. To beat Westminster this weekend and maintain our position in Div 1 for next season is fantastic news. Well done all involved.

Our Cricketers had some great performances and wins as well over the weekend with both Middle A and Primary sides continuing their good form, recording wins over Trinity Middle A and Woodcroft respectively. Our Girls Cricket team backed up their great win last week over Pembroke with another strong win over St Aloysius - well done girls! Our First XI Boys had a tough encounter in their T20 match this week, losing to a strong St Peters side, and came up just short this weekend versus Westminster. The boys will have a chance to bounce back this week in their T20 playoff match and then on Saturday against Pembroke.

Well done again to our Badminton players this weekend as they got over the line in their matches with St Ignatius and Adelaide HS.

Our Softballers had the weekend off this week due to the EXEAT, but they have matches this weekend including the big A Grade Shield Final between Scotch and St Peters. This is the biggest game of the season and will decide who wins the competition overall for 2018. Please do try and get along to Barret Reserve this Saturday morning at 8.00am if you can to support our girls in this crucial final decider. Best of luck girls!
