Giving to Scotch

Scotch College was founded through the vision, benefaction and generosity of Presbyterian leaders and families who purchased Torrens Park House to establish a school as a memorial to the Sons of Scotland. Their foresight created a place of learning and opportunity that has since seen more than thirteen thousand young people pass through its gates, empowered to make a meaningful contribution to their communities and to the world.

For more than a century, the generosity of our community has continued to build on these strong foundations. Philanthropy has helped expand opportunities for students through need based scholarships and supported the development of outstanding teaching and learning environments that enrich the educational experience for all.

Philanthropy at Scotch is about ensuring that every student can access a world class education and the opportunities that shape confident, capable and compassionate young people. While school fees and government funding support the day to day operations of the College, philanthropy enables Scotch to look forward, innovate and continue to grow in ways that benefit current and future generations.
