Payments & Lunch Orders

In Term 1 2020, the Scotch College Canteen is transitioning to cashless payments for all canteen purchases. During Term 1, cashless payments will be available and preferred, and from the beginning of Term 2 2020, the Canteen will no longer accept cash payments

Families may choose to use Munch Monitor (compulsory for Mitcham Campus lunch orders) or use EFT and contactless (e.g. saving/credit cards or Apple Pay) facilities for purchases.

Mitcham Campus (Prep – Year 6)

Lunch orders are available for Mitcham Campus students only. Parents on the Mitcham Campus (Prep – Year 6) may order lunches for their children quickly and easily via Munch Monitor. Munch Monitor is a simple, easy to use service that allows you to order your child's lunch well in advance, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week while also helping to eliminate lost or forgotten lunch money.

Please note: Orders need to be received by 7am each morning. If you miss the daily 7am deadline, simply call the Scotch College Canteen (8274 4284) by 9am to place an order, being sure to supply your child's name, teacher's name and the year of their class.

Torrens Park Campus (Year 7 – 12)

Students on the Torrens Park Campus may purchase items from the canteen using Munch Monitor’s prepaid card system or EFT (e.g. saving/credit cards) and contactless (e.g. Apple Pay) facilities.

When using Munch Monitor, parents can top up the student balance online and need you will to allow the student to have access to “snack money” with optional daily or weekly spending limits and/or restricted food item categories.

Please note: To begin using cashless payments and Munch Monitor, students will need to link their student card to their family account by visiting the canteen – this cannot be done automatically.

How do I set up Munch Monitor?

  1. Visit www.munchmonitor.com on your computer, smart phone or tablet.
  2. Locate the "Login to Munch Monitor" prompt on the website's home page.
  3. Click the "Register" link to create your own family account, get started.
  4. When prompted, enter the School ID scotchcollege and the password munch5062 to login to Scotch College's portal.
  5. Follow Munch Monitor’s steps to complete registration, including clicking the email verification link sent to your nominated email address. You will need to create a parent profile and add students to your account.
  6. After adding a parent and student profile, you can top up your account using a credit card. Be sure to tick/activate “snack money” when creating your child’s account, if they do not do this the child will be restricted to what they can buy in the canteen.

You can access Munch Monitor’s quick setup guide PDF here.

Munch Monitor charges a $3.65 account keeping fee per school term. If your child is absent from school, simply phone the Scotch College Canteen on 8274 4284 prior to 9am to cancel your order and have it credited to your account.

Volunteering

The canteen is always grateful to the wonderful volunteers who help us prepare the food for both Torrens Park and Mitcham Campus.

The canteen is always looking for more assistance. To make access easier for volunteers, the Scotch Canteen has now launched a Canteen Calendar that you can access here.

You will need your usual Scotch parent ID and password to log in. After logging in, simply select the Canteen shifts you are available for on the calendar to book yourself in. This calendar allows you to select the date(s) that suit you and eliminate the need for emails back and forth confirming your availability.
