Scotch College Old Collegians, community members and current families are invited to join us for the 2026 Scotch College Far North Community Dinner.

The itinerary for the weekend can be found below, in addition to a Prairie Hotel booking form with pricing.

Itinerary & Pricing

📆 Thursday 27 August: Optional Stay at Argadells.

Arrive Thursday and choose from cabin accommodation or camping — fully self-catering, so BYO everything you need. Wake up right on the property. Join an early morning 4WD tour of Argadells Station with the caretakers and the Principal, Trent Driver, exploring the tracks and taking in the landscape before the College BBQ gets underway.

📆 Friday 28 August: Argadells BBQ

Optional College BBQ Lunch, 12:00–3:00pm at Argadells Station.

Begin your journey north with a complimentary BBQ lunch at Scotch College’s Argadells property. A wonderful opportunity to visit Argadells before heading on to Parachilna. BYO beverages.

Friday BBQ Lunch at Argadells is hosted by Scotch College — bookings can be made via Humanitix using the button below.

After BBQ lunch at Argadells, travel on to the Prairie Hotel Parachilna. All events hosted by the Prairie Hotel are optional and must be booked directly using the booking form at the bottom of this page.

📆 Friday 28 August (Evening)

Dinner at the Prairie Hotel. Settle in and enjoy dinner and drinks as the sun sets over the Flinders Ranges. A relaxed evening to reconnect before the weekend ahead.

Cost $50pp, bookings to be made directly with the Prairie Hotel.

📆 Saturday 29 August

  • Breakfast at the Prairie — $45pp
  • Fossil Tour — Nilpena Ediacara National Park — $275pp
  • Creek Bed BBQ — $35pp

📆 Saturday 29 August (Evening)

Old Collegians & Community Formal Dinner — $105pp. Includes pre-dinner canapes, Haggis Starter, Entrée, Main and Grazing dessert table. Live entertainment by local singer, song writer and story teller, John O’Dea (pre and post dinner).

📆 Sunday 30 August

Breakfast before check-out and departure — $45pp
